The Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who decided to build their own houses.
The first little pig was very lazy. He built his house out of straw because the process is easy and quick. He thought, “I can build the house soon, so that I can rest and play all day.”
The second little pig worked a bit harder. He built his house out of sticks. It was stronger than the straw house but still not very strong. He thought, “This is good enough. Now I can relax.”
The third little pig was very hardworking. He built his house out of bricks. It took a long time and a lot of effort, but he knew it would be strong and safe. He thought, “It’s worth the hard work to have a strong house.”
One day, a big bad wolf came along. He was hungry and wanted to eat the pigs. He went to the first little pig’s straw house and said, “Little pig, let me come in!”
The first pig replied, “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!”
The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the straw house down easily. The first little pig ran to the second pig’s stick house and stayed there.
The wolf followed and said to the second pig’s house, “Little pigs, let me come in!”
The pigs replied, “Not by the hair of our chinny chin chins!”
The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the stick house down. The two pigs ran to the third pig’s brick house and stayed there.
The wolf followed them and said, “Little pigs, let me come in!”
The pigs replied, “Not by the hair of our chinny chin chins!”
The wolf huffed and puffed, but he could not blow the brick house down. He tried again and again, but the brick house was too strong.
Finally, the wolf gave up and went away. The three little pigs were safe and happy in the strong brick house.
The first and second little pigs learned an important lesson. They realized that taking the easy way out and being lazy did not pay off. The third little pig taught them that hard work and planning make things strong and safe. And the other two pics also built a strong brick house and all lived happily ever after.
Moral
Hard work and perseverance pay off in the end. It is important to take the time to do things right and build a strong foundation in life.
