The Story of the Teapot
Once upon a time, there was a little teapot. She had a beautiful, long spout, a strong handle, and a lovely lid. But her lid had a crack, and other teacups, the cream pitcher, and the sugar jar would tease her about it.
Whenever the teapot heard their teasing, she felt sad, even though she liked to boast about herself. She often said, “I am the best teapot. I pour delicious tea for everyone!”
One day, a very elegant and beautiful hand picked up the teapot. But, by mistake, the hand dropped the teapot on the floor. The teapot’s spout, handle, and lid all broke into pieces, and hot tea spilled everywhere. Everyone made a big fuss as they cleaned up the mess.
From that moment, people thought the teapot was old and useless. They laughed at the teapot instead of the careless hand that dropped her. This made the teapot feel very sad and alone.
They gave the broken teapot away to a beggar. The teapot thought, “There’s no hope for me now.” She moaned and cried about her situation.
But then, something unexpected happened. The beggar filled the teapot with soil and planted a flower seed inside her. At first, the teapot was shocked and confused. But soon, the seed took root and began to grow.
The teapot felt like the seed was her new heart. She came to life again and felt happy as the seed grew into a beautiful plant. She watched the flowers bloom and forgot all about her past troubles and worries.
Even though the flowers never said thank you to the teapot and acted like they didn’t know she existed, the teapot felt joy just by watching them grow. Everyone who saw the flowers admired their beauty, and this made the teapot happy.
One day, someone moved the flowers from the teapot to a nicer flowerpot. The teapot, now broken in two pieces, was thrown away in the corner of a garden. But the teapot lived the rest of her days happily, remembering the beautiful flowers she helped grow.
And so, the teapot learned that even when things go wrong, you can find new ways to be happy and useful. She spend her days remembering the journey she was gone through being helpful to people around in different ways at different times. Now, she found joy in watching the flowers bloom and the assistance she once provided to nurture the seeds gave her life a meaningful purpose.
Moral
Everyone and everything has a purpose, even if it changes over time.
