The Lion and The Mouse
Once upon a time, deep in the forest, there lived a big, strong lion. He spent most of his days sleeping under the shade of tall trees, his head resting on ground.
One day, while the lion was taking a deep nap, a tiny mouse scurried by and accidentally ran across the lion’s tail. Startled awake, the lion was furious, ready to crush her.
But the mouse, trembling with fear, pleaded for her life, promising to repay the lion’s kindness someday. Intrigued by the mouse’s audacity, the lion decided to spare her life, amused by the idea that such a tiny creature could ever help him.
Days passed, and one day, a hunter made a trap in the forest. Unfortunately, the lion got trapped in a hunter’s trap while hunting for its prey. The lion struggled to get himself free from trap, but he can’t. The lion roared in frustration and looked around for someone to help him get out of the trap.
Hearing the lion’s roar, the mouse hurried to the scene. Seeing her friend in trouble, she wasted no time and began gnawing at the ropes of the net with her sharp teeth. Despite her small size, she worked tirelessly until she had made a hole big enough for the lion to escape.
Grateful and amazed by the mouse’s bravery, the lion thanked her profusely. The mouse reminded him of the kindness he had shown her before, and how she had promised to repay it one day.
From that day on, the lion and the mouse became the best of friends, sharing adventures and looking out for each other in the forest. And they both learned that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
