Dilute the red paint with water in a tray. Dip your kid’s hand into the watery paint mixture, ensuring an even coat. Gently lift your kid’s hand from the tray, leaving a beautifully painted handprint on a thick sheet of paper. Allow the handprints paints to dry completely. Once dried, paint two broad lines on each handprint to resemble fish bodies. Outline the fish to define their shapes and bring them to life. Add eyes – whether you choose to paint them on or have some fun with googly eyes is entirely up to you!

Create a watery background with blue paint, and add details like sandy soil, graceful sea weeds, and a scattering of stones to create an ocean floor. Add patterns, scales, or any unique touches that make your fish special!

Octopus

Interested in creating a dancing octopus with little fingers? Let’s begin! Mix your preferred color paint in water in right consistency, not too watery or too sticky. Take your little one’s hand and let them briefly dip it. Lift their small hands carefully to make impressions on the paper. Once the paint has dried, enhance the impressions by adding details like outlines, drawing eyes, incorporating backgrounds, and more. Tada! Now, the octopus is ready to gaze at you.

Crab

Crab Hand print

To the crafty red crab, as usual start by preparing the paint palette or tray. Dilute the red paint with water and creating a thick pool of colour in a tray. Dip your little ones right hand into the mixture, ensuring an even coat. Guide them to gently their lift hand from the tray, and make an impression on a thick sheet of paper. Repeat the process with their left hand, creating a mirrored print. Allow the painted handprints to dry completely. Once dried, outline the handprints to define the crab shape, and add eyes – you can use regular paint or get playful with googly eyes for an extra dose of cuteness.

Now, let’s bring our crabs to life by painting a vibrant seaside background. Create a watery canvas, and add details like sandy soil, whimsical sea weeds, and perhaps a few stones scattered along the shore.

Kids never stops going crazy for butterflies, right? Why not make it one with their little hands to make their heart flutter? Start by blending your favourite paint into water, achieving that perfect consistency. Gently dip little hands into the paint. Lift their right hand and press it onto the canvas, forming one wing of the butterfly. Then, take the left hand and once again dip it to create an impression in such a way that it mirrors the previous one. Once the paint sets, enhance the prints by adding intricate touches like tracing the wings, sketching delicate patterns, and infusing vibrant colors of your wish to it.

In this handprint activity, let’s bring the endangered dinosaur to life! To create a roaring dino, simply make a handprint on the paper as usual with your preferred choice of color. After the handprint painting impression dries, turn the page around and draw the dinosaur’s head with the same color used for making the paint impression. Then, add body spikes, eyes, and a wild forest background to make the art more lively. You can also paste googly eyes to make it more realistic. If you wish you can create dinosaurs in different colors and frame the art, letting them hang on the wall, resembling a mini dinoland.
