Homemade Sprouted multi-grain Healthmix

Homemade multi-grain sprouted healthmix recipe is a nutritious blend of multiple cereals and grains, which serves as a filling diet with combinations of proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, iron, minerals and fibre providing a high nutritional profile diet.
Once the baby reaches 8 months of age, prepare a porridge with this recipe. It makes you enjoy the glow of good health in your babies by boosting the weight of babies and also ensures the better digestion in babies.

- Rice -1 cup
- Finger Millet-1 cup
- Oats- 1 cup
- Millet – 1/2 cup
- Pearl millet -1/2 cup
- Corn -1/2 cup
- Sago-1/2 cup
- Green gram- 1/2 cup
- Horse gram -1/2 cup
- Black gram- 1/2 cup
- Bengal gram- 1/2 cup
- Soya- 1/2 cup
- Wheat – 1/2 cup
- Green Gram Beans (Moong dal)- 1/2 cup
- Red lentils (Masoor dal)- 1/2 cup
- Almonds- 1/2 cup
- Cashews- 1/2 cup
- Cardamom- 4
Procedure
Sprouted grains
Soak the Finger millet (Ragi), Millets (Pearl millet), Green gram, Horse gram, Black gram, Corn & Wheat in a fresh water for a whole day.

Change the water once in between to avoid a foul smell from the soaked grains.

Take a clean white cotton cloth and tie the soaked grains in it and keep undisturbed overnight.
Next morning the grains will get its sprouts.

Now sundry the sprouted grains for a day or two based on the intensity of sunlight.
Other grains
Rinse the other grains such as Rice, Green gram beans (Moong dal), Red lentils (Mansoor dal), Soya, Bengal gram in a fresh water and drain the water. Sundry it along with sprouted grains.

Nuts
To peel the outer skin of Almonds (Badam), put them in a boiling water for a minute. Now the skin of almonds can be easily removed. Sundry it with Cashews and Cardamoms.
Dry roast
After making sure that there is moisture left in grains and cereals, dry roast all the grains in a low flame for 2 minutes. This makes extra sure that there is moisture left in the grains.

Now blend them into a fine powder. Filter the residuals in a sieve. Make sure no lumps or ingrained particles are present.

Store the Health mix powder in an airtight container and store them in cool dry place.
Making porridge
To make whole health mix porridge, just add 2 spoons of health mix powder in a cup of water and whisk it well until there is no Lumps. Heat the mixture and stir continuously until the mixture gets cooked completely.

Add half spoon of Health mix to any plain porridge recipes for added nutritional benefits. Also it makes the porridge in different versions of taste.
